COLUMBUS, Ohio – Northwestern dropped a Sunday afternoon contest to Ohio State, 4-2. The 'Cats move to 2-2 on the season with the loss.
Ugo Achara Jr., last week's TopDrawer Soccer and Coller Soccer News' player of the week, continued his hot streak with another goal. Achara Jr. opened the scoring with a goal 10 minutes into the game, his fourth in the last three games. Sophomore Vicente Castro and first-year Joseph Arena picked up the assists.
Northwestern could not hold on to its early lead, allowing Ohio State to score four unanswered goals.
Vicente Castro scored his second-career goal with one second remaining to make it a two-goal game, with Spencer Farina picking up his second assist of the season.
The Wildcats return to the pitch on Thursday, as they travel to East Lansing to take on Michigan State.
