Wildcats Fall in Lenahan's Final Home Game

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern fell to Maryland 2-1 today at Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium.

Today was head coach Tim Lenahan's final home game with Northwestern. Last November, Coach Lenahan announced that he would retire at the conclusion of the 2021 season, his 20th with the program.

The Wildcats' defense held strong in the first half, taking a scoreless game into halftime. Maryland broke through quickly in the second half with two goals in the first ten minutes.
 
First-year Rom Brown scored his first-career goal in the 82nd minute. Vincente Castro and Spencer Farina picked up the assists for Northwestern.
 
Miha Miskovic started in net for the 'Cats and recorded four saves.
 
Northwestern travels to New Jersey next Sunday, April 4, to take on Rutgers in its final regular season match of the year.
