Hillary Crowned Colorado Junior Amateur Champion

AURORA, CO. - Incoming first year Charlotte Hillary was crowned the 2020 Colorado Junior Amateur Champion on Wednesday afternoon.

After trailing by two strokes heading into the final day at the CommonGround Golf Course, the Englewood, CO. native finished the final round tied at 1-over par to force a playoff. She clinched the title on an 8-foot birdie putt on the very first playoff hole.

"It feels good that I left Colorado on a good note and I left junior golf in Colorado on a good note," said Hillary, "Looking back on it now, I'm really happy."

Wednesday marks Hillary's fourth JGAC major title. The reigning JGAC Girls Player of the Year is a previous three-time JGAC Tour Champion, having won every year she competed in the event ('16, '18, '19).

Head Coach Emily Fletcher announced the addition of Hillary and two other student-athletes to the Northwestern women's golf program in November as a part of National Signing Day.
