EVANSTON, Ill. - Sophomore David Nyfjäll and junior Eric McIntosh were awarded All-Big Ten Honors, the conference announced on Monday.
Nyfjäll was a unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten first team while McIntosh earned second team honors, his first career All-Big Ten selection. Senior Everton Hawkins was named a Sportsmanship Award Honoree.
Monday marks Nyfjäll's second consecutive first team honor after earning the accolade to go along with being named Big Ten Freshman of the Year last season. The Uppsala, Sweden native finished his shortened sophomore season with three top-5 finishes and carded the match-winning birdie to help the Wildcats clinch the 2020 Big Ten Match Play Championship for the fifth time the in program history.
McIntosh finished his junior campaign with the second lowest stroke average on the team and placed in the top-25 four times this season. The Edinburgh, Scotland native started in every match this season and was named to the GCAA Division I PING All-Region team.
