COLUMBUS, OH — Northwestern women's tennis will head to Columbus to face No. 2 Ohio State on Saturday, March 7 for their second Big Ten match of the season. Matches will start at 11 a.m. CT. The matches will be live streamed with live scoring.
Northwestern dominated in their Big Ten Opener, defeating Indiana 4-0 on Feb. 28, at home. Senior Julie Byrne won both of her matches last week, including her second win over a ranking opponent this season, giving her a team-leading six singles wins. She is now ranked No. 58 in the latest ITA singles rankings. Sophomore Hannah McColgan is undefeated in her five singles matches this season. Byrne and McColgan are 2-0 in doubles 1.
The 'Cats have won three of their past four matchups this season. The Wildcats have won four consecutive matchups against the Buckeyes, including a 5-2 win at home and a 4-0 win in the Big Ten tournament last season.
