Davis Announces Marten as Director of Ops

EVANSTON, IL – Northwestern volleyball has added Taylor Marten as its director of operations, head coach Shane Davis announced Wednesday.
 
"We are thrilled to welcome Taylor to our staff as our Director of Operations," said Davis. "Taylor has a plethora of experience in college athletics and volleyball specific organizations. Taylor is a hardworking, outgoing, and incredibly knowledgeable individual who is going to make our program immediately better.  We are so excited about the impact that Taylor is going to make on Northwestern Volleyball!"
 
Marten comes to the shores of Lake Michigan from the Arizona desert where she has been serving as the Director of Operations for Arizona State gymnastics and as the school's Olympic Sports Graduate Assistant while she earns her masters in in sports law and business. She also spent her two years in Arizona coaching for the Arizona Sky Volleyball Club.
 
Additionally, she is a Tournament Staff member for the AAU Volleyball Junior National Championships in Orlando each June, a role in which she handles both onsite management and serves as a liaison to the All-American committee.
 
Before her time in Arizona, Marten served as a Track and Field Operations Intern and Event Management Specialist Intern at Nebraska where she completed her undergraduate degree with a major in management and minors in both marketing and sports communication. She was tasked with assisting in the facilitation and scheduling of the 2016 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships along with Nebraska's eight other home meets each season.
 
With volleyball at Nebraska, Marten volunteered with marketing through the Iron N to help the program transition to a new competition venue. She also coached for one season at Nebraska Juniors Volleyball club.
