LEXINGTON, Ky. - Northwestern started their road trip off strong with a 4-2 victory over Kentucky on Friday evening.
The Wildcats got off to a strong start by taking the doubles point thanks to wins by Simen Bratholm/Nick Brookes and Trice Pickens/Antonioni Fasano.
Nick Brookes extended the 'Cats lead with a 7-6, 6-1 win at #3 singles. Trice Pickens battled back to gain a crucial point at the #4 slot, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4.
Chris Ephron secured the win for NU with a convincing 6-2, 6-1 victory at #5 singles.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will continue their road trip on Sunday at 11 a.m. against Oklahoma State.
