EVANSTON, — Northwestern women's tennis will host a pair of matches at the Combe Tennis Center this weekend. The Wildcats open up Big Ten play on Friday night with a contest against Indiana at 5 p.m., before taking on Kansas on Sunday, March 1 at noon.
Northwestern topped No. 18 Baylor, 4-3, on Feb. 23, in Waco. Senior Julie Byrne is ranked No. 58 in latest ITA singles rankings and is the reigning Big Ten Player of the Week after going winning at both the No. 1 singles and doubles positions against Baylor.
The Wildcats dropped a 5-2 decision to the Jayhawks last season and picked up a 5-2 victory over the Hoosiers in 2019.
