STATE COLLEGE, Penn. -  Northwestern fell to the 13th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday afternoon,  71-61 in the Bryce Jordan Center

The Northwestern Wildcats had four different scorers in double digits for the first time since their road game against Illinois. Boo Buie, Miller Kopp, Pat Spencer, and Pete Nance all finished with 10+ points.

Buie and Nance led the team with 12 points each with Nance turning in an impressive shooting night, shooting 6-for-7 from the floor. This is the fifth time this year Buie has led the 'Cats in scoring.

The 'Cats utilized a balancing scoring attack in the first half with seven different Wildcats contributing. Nance paced the 'Cats with eight points off the bench on perfect 4-for-4 shooting. Spencer continued to stuff the stat sheet with seven points, three boards and three assists.

Buie paced the #B1GCats in the second frame, scoring ten points on 4-for-7 shooting. The Wildcats outshot the Nittany Lions in the second half, shooting 51.9% from the field to the Lions' 42.9%.

In the second stanza, Northwestern was able to cut the Nittany Lions' lead to as little as seven at the 5:16 mark after a 10-1 run but it was no enough to take down the home team.

Chicago's Big Ten Team continues their road stretch on Tuesday, Feb. 18 with an evening road game against Maryland. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT.
