EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern took home a dominant 6-0 win over Indiana on Friday at Lakeside Field after honoring their seven seniors in a pregame ceremony.

The defeat over the Hoosiers secured a 13-6 regular season for the Wildcats and their sixth shutout victory. They take a 5-3 conference record into the Big Ten Tournament, which begins on Thursday, November 7.

The Northwestern seniors celebrated Senior Day in style by tallying half of the team's goals on the game. Lily Gandhi knocked in her first of the season to bring the 'Cats lead up to three at the start of the second half, with Saar de Breij following right after with the Wildcats' fourth of the game. Kirsten Mansfield cemented the 'Cats' decisive win with a rebound goal in the fourth quarter.

Junior Florien Marcussen and senior Caroline Hughes combined in goal for Northwestern's sixth shutout of the season. Hughes recorded the first two saves of her career, capping off a commanding game for the Wildcat seniors.

First-year Ana Medina Garcia started off the scoring in the first quarter, and redshirt first-year Bente Baekers notched two more goals onto her league-leading 24 for a final score of 6-0.

The Wildcats await their draw for the Big Ten Tournament, which will be announced Sunday, November 3.
