COLUMBUS, OH – Northwestern wrapped up play at the 2019 ITA Midwest Regional Championship Monday afternoon in Columbus, OH.
Both sophomore Steven Forman and ninth-ranked senior Dominik Stary advanced through the first day of competition, defeating opponents from UIC, Western Michigan, OSU and Cleveland State to qualify for top-16.
Forman took Illinoi's fifth-ranked Zeke Clark to three sets before falling 2-1 (6-4, 5-7, 6-4).
Stary advanced to the semifinal match, defeating third-ranked Andrew Fenty of Michigan in three sets before falling to OSU's top-ranked John McNally.
The 'Cats will be back on the court for the 2019 Big Ten Singles/Doubles Championship November 1-4 hosted by Nebraska.
