Wildcats Drop Dig Pink Matchup to No. 20 Purdue

Evanston, Ill. – Northwestern fell to Big Ten opponent No. 20 Purdue on Saturday in the annual Dig Pink Match.

The 'Cats battled in each set but couldn't keep up at the end of each frame with the relentless Boilermakers. The final score of the match ended 25-22, 25-19, 25-18.

First-year Temi Thomas-Ailara led with a game-high 15 kills and 9 digs. This games marks her 15th consecutive game with double-digit kills. Lexi Pitsas tallied 11 digs and Kiara McNulty contributed 24 assists and 9 digs.

The 'Cats will be back on the court on Friday evening as they take on No. 6 Minnesota University in Minneapolis, Minnesota at 7 pm CT.
