EVANSTON, IL - Northwestern men's golf will wrap up their fall campaign with a trip to Carmel, Indiana to play in the Crooked Stick Collegiate, October 14-15.
This will be the first visit to the Crooked Stick Collegiate for the Wildcats. The two-day event, hosted by the University of Indiana and Purdue, will kick off with a 36-hole round on Monday followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
Crooked Stick Golf Club, located in a suburb north of Indianapolis, has played host to a number of prestigious tournaments, including the PGA Championship (1991), two BMW Championships (2012 & 2016) and is the future site of the 2020 Western Amateur. It will play as a par-72, 7,290-yard course.
The Wildcats will look to keep their momentum after finishing second in the Marquette Invitational last weekend. The 'Cats posted a record 13-under 275 in the final round to launch them just two strokes back of the leader Purdue.
Three NU golfers hope to stay hot after carding top-20 finishes at the Marquette Intercollegiate. First-year John Driscoll III shot a 66 on Sunday, the second best round in tournament history, to collect his first career top-20 result. Sophomore David Nyfjäll earned his first top-5 finish of the season while Junior Eric McIntosh captured seventh.
