OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - Junior Eric McIntosh tied for 17th place at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational, marking his second top-25 finish of the season and eighth of his career.
McIntosh led the Wildcats all three days and finished the tournament 4-over. In the final round, the Edinburgh, Scotland native closed with an even 70 at Olympia Fields Country Club, the future host of the 2020 BMW Championship. Cooper Dossey from Baylor took home the individual championship at 4-under while Georgia Tech and Baylor tied for the team championship with 6-over scores.

Following McIntosh was senior Everton Hawkins, who tied for 34th. Hawkins shot 4-over in the first and second round but finished strong with even par on the final day.
As a team, Northwestern finished 11th.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will have a week off of playing time before returning to Erin Hills, WI. in the Erin Hills/Marquette Intercollegiate as the defending team champions, October 6-7.
