Wildcats Drop Road Tilt at Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Northwestern closed out its road trip at Harvard on Sunday, but couldn't get off the mark in a 2-0 defeat. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Mackenzie Wood tied her career-high with 10 saves made. The Wildcats put up 11 shots of their own, but only registered two on goal.

The 'Cats return home to finish off their non-conference slate on Friday against No. 11 Kansas at Martin Stadium. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.

  • Wood posted 10 saves last year against No. 25 West Virginia in a 0-0 draw on Aug. 26, 2018
  • Northwestern finish non-conference play with a .500 record with a win against the Jayhawks on Friday. 
  • The 'Cats were without first-year midfielder Rowan Lapi, who had started the previous five games. 
  • The Wildcats had five corner kicks, compared to just two for Harvard.
