EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern announced its fall ball slate on Wednesday with the Wildcats hosting eight games at Sharon J. Drysdale Field.

The Wildcats will play four doubleheaders on Sundays this fall against Loyola and Danville Community College on Sept. 22, Bradley on Sept. 29, DePaul on Oct. 6 and Heartland Community College and Spoon River Community College on Oct. 13.
Northwestern is coming off a banner spring of 2019, as the Wildcats captured an NCAA Regional Title for the first time since 2008 after hosting a Regional as a top-16 seed.
The Wildcats return all but two members of last year's squad, headlined by four All-Big Ten selections. Pitcher Danielle Williams and catcher Jordyn Rudd both earned first team honors as first-years while infielders Rachel Lewis and Maeve Nelson were selected to the second team.
Williams also was named the NFCA National Freshman of the Year for her dazzling rookie season, in which she posted 31 wins, 317 strikeouts and 13 shutouts.
Head Coach Kate Drohan earned her third Big Ten Coach of the Year nod for leading the Wildcats to 42 wins, featuring the most conference wins in program history (21) and the most regular season wins since 2007. Kate and her twin sister, Caryl, secured their 600th career victory in 2019 as well.
Admission is free for all attending fans this fall, as is parking on Sundays at the Ryan Field East lot.
