EVANSTON, Ill. – After advancing to the NCAA Semifinal game for the first time since 2014, four Wildcats have been awarded 2019 Inside Lacrosse Media All-American Honors.
After leading Northwestern with 85 goals and breaking Northwestern's career goal record, Selena Lasota received Inside Lacrosse First Team All-American honors. The senior attacker was also first in the Big Ten in goals and points and was named the unanimous Big Ten Attacker of the year.
Sophomore Brennan Dwyer led the 'Cats in draw controls, breaking Northwestern's single season record to earn First Team honors for the first time in her career. Dwyer was also named to the 2019 All-Big Ten tournament team and received All-Big Ten honors.
Izzy Scane received Second Team All-American honors after scoring 62 season goals, the second on the team and scoring a team-high five goals against Maryland in the NCAA Semifinals. The first-year attacker was second in the Big Ten in goals, was named the unanimous Big Ten Freshman of the year.
An anchor in the Wildcat defense, sophomore Ally Palermo received Honorable Mention honors for the first time in her career. Palermo also was selected to the 2019 All-Big Ten team.
