#B1GCats Set for Regular Season Finale at Purdue

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern men's golf team will head to West Lafayette, Indiana for its final tournament of the regular season to compete in the 2019 Boilermaker Invitational at Purdue's Kampen Course, Saturday and Sunday.

The 54-hole tournament, now in its 16th anniversary, will tee off with a shotgun start of 7:45 a.m. CT on Saturday with the final 18 holes played on Sunday. Northwestern will be paired alongside Oklahoma and Purdue in day one.

The 'Cats will compete against 14 other teams, including Big Ten opponents Purdue, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. The par 72, 7,465-yard Kampen Course is consistently voted one of the top collegiate courses in the country and was recently the host site of the 2017 NCAA Regional Championships.

Last season, the Wildcats earned a share of the first place finish with Kent State for the team championship, marking Northwestern's first win in the tournament. Then junior, Ryan Lumsden finished with a 2-under 142 (72-70) performance to tie for fifth place, while sophomore Everton Hawkins tied for seventh at 1-under 143 (69-74).
