Several ‘Cats Set Sights on Individual Titles

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern women's fencing team is set to conclude its remarkable 2018-19 campaign with individual championship events.
 
Eight Wildcats will return to action this weekend at the 2019 USA Fencing Division I National Championships & North American Cup individual competition in Salt Lake City, Utah.
 
Additionally, first-year Julia Falinska will compete on Friday, April 12th at the Junior World Championships in Torun, Poland. Falinska, who earned All-American status at the NCAA Championships, is a native of Warsaw, Poland.
 
Each individual event will feature a round of pools with six or seven fencers per group in a round robin, followed by the direct elimination rounds featuring longer bouts up to 15 touches.
