FRANKLIN, Tenn. – After rain and lightning delays, the Northwestern men's golf team completed the third round of the Mason Rudolph Championship on Sunday evening at Vanderbilt Legend's South Course.
Ryan Lumsden carded a team-low 1-under 70 in the final round. After a double-bogey to start the back nine, Lumsden responded with three-straight birdies to tally five on the day in his best round of the tournament. The senior finished 1-over 214 to tie for 32nd.
As a team, Northwestern placed 11th on the team leaderboard with a 7-over 859 score. The Wildcats had the fourth most birdies of the 17 teams in the field with 51.
Host school Vanderbilt took home the team championship (-29) while Billy Tom Sargent from Western Kentucky finished 12-under for the individual title.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will prepare for its final tournament of the regular season, the Boilermaker Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind. April 13-14.
