Nyfjäll in Third After Day One Of Mason Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tenn. –  David Nyfjäll is just one shot off the lead after day one of the Mason Rudolph Championship at Vanderbilt Legend's South Course. 
 
The first year is in third place after his 6-under 65 performance, tying his career-best 18-hole round score. Nyfjäll was bogey-free all 18-holes and tapped in six birdies.
 
Northwestern carded a 6-under 278 score for fourth place. The Wildcats sunk 21 birdies in round one, the second most on the day. Tennessee is in first place at 15-under. 
 
Lucas Becht is tied for 27th after firing five birdies on the back nine to finish the round 1-under. 
 
Eric McIntosh finsihed with an even par 71 to tie for 34th, while Ryan Lumsden and Everton Hawkins are tied for 42nd
 
Day two of the Mason Rudolph Championship will begin tomorrow with tee times beginning as early as 7:30 a.m. Fans can follow the 'Cats with live updates from Golfstat.
