EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern senior Stephanie Lau will be a part of history this week as she competes along the best female amateur golfers in the world at the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur.
Lau, fresh off her first collegiate victory at the PING/ASU Invitational, will tee off at 8:32 a.m. CT alongside Beatrice Wallin (Sweden) and Valentina Giraldo (Colombia).

An international field with 72 of the top women amateurs in the world will compete over 54 holes of stroke play. A cut will take place after 36 holes, advancing the leading 30 players to the final round at Augusta National Golf Club.
The first 36 holes will be contested over two days on the Island and Bluff nines at Championship Retreat Golf Club in August, Ga., April 3-4. The entire field will then play Augusta National for an official practice round on Friday, April 5
NBC Sports will produce and broadcast three hours of live final-round coverage at Augusta National from Noon – 3 p.m. EDT on April 6, 2019.
