EVANSTON, Ill. – Coming off a 10-goal victory over Rutgers, senior Selena Lasota and first-year Izzy Scane have both earned their first Big Ten weekly honors of the season.
After tying a career-high nine goals against Rutgers, Lasota earned her sixth career Offensive Player of the Week award. This performance brings her total to 229 career goals which puts her on track to join the NCAA record book for all-time career goals.
Against the Scarlet Knights, Scane was unstoppable offensively, finishing the first half with a career-high six goals to earn her first Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor.
The 'Cats will be back on the field Saturday afternoon to take on Marquette at Valley Fields at 7 pm CT.
