HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — First year Kelly Sim continued her strong showing at the eighth annual Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Saturday, posting an even-par, 71, to move into a tie for 13th at 2-over through 36 holes.
Sim led the Wildcats for the second-straight day with her seventh round of par or better on the season despite opening the day with back-to-back bogeys. She made back-to-back birdies on No. 18 and No. 1 to get back to even par and closed the round with eight-straight pars.

The Wildcats moved up a spot on the team leaderboard to 13th at 27-over by shooting five strokes better than their opening round. Florida State leads the field at 3-under through 36 holes.
Senior Stephanie Lau is tied for 43rd at 7-over overall and will look to take the momentum she built with a strong finish Saturday into the final round Sunday morning. Lau made a double bogey on her second hole of the day — No. 11 — but responded with 14 pars and a birdie to shoot a 2-over, 73, in the second round.
First year Kelly Su, playing as NU's individual for the weekend, had a pair of birdies on the day to shoot a 3-over, 74, and is tied for 56th at 10-over.
The 'Cats will tee off in the final round Sunday at 8:20 a.m. CT alongside No. 16 Alabama and Baylor.
