EVANSTON, Ill. – Lindsey Pulliam scored a game-high 22 points, her ninth 20-point performance of the season, as Northwestern dominated the Penn State Nittany Lions in a 78-63 victory at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Thursday night.
Northwestern opened the game on a 9-0 run and did not look back, leading for the entire game. As a team, the Wildcats shot 47-percent from the field, their highest percentage in Big Ten play this season, including a season-high 58-percent from behind the arc (7-of-12).
Abi Scheid finished with 14 points on an efficient 5-of-8 shooting, along with six rebounds and four assists. The junior forward is now averaging 16 points, five rebounds and just over two assists in her last three games.
Also finishing in double figures was Jordan Hamilton, who scored 12 points while adding three rebounds and three assists. This marks her 10th game this season scoring at least 10 points. Veronica Burton finished with nine points while dishing out a game-high seven assists, tied for her season high.
Bryana Hopkins provided a spark off the bench as she finished with nine points, including her first three-pointer of the season to give the 'Cats a 23-13 advantage in the second quarter.
