EVANSTON, Ill. — The 15th-ranked Northwestern women's golf program will open its spring schedule in Rio Mar, Puerto Rico on Sunday as a part of the 14-team field at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
Played on the Par-72 River Course at the Rio Mar Country Club, the tournament will feature four programs ranked in the top 21 in the country, including No. 7 Arkansas, No. 10 Kent State, No. 21 Virginia Tech and the Wildcats.
After a practice round on Saturday, the 'Cats will tee off in the first round at 6 a.m CT Sunday as a part of a shotgun start.

Head Coach Emily Fletcher's lineup will include senior Janet Mao, junior Brooke Riley and first years Kelly Sim, Kelly Su and Jane Lu. Senior MacKenzie Hawkes will compete as an individual. The Wildcats last competed at the event in 2016, finishing fifth in a 16-team field.
