SEATTLE — No. 12 Northwestern fell in the opening round of the 2019 ITA National Indoor Team Championships, 4-0, to No. 8 Texas on Friday evening.

Northwestern dropped to 3-3 on the season.
Due to inclement weather the start time of the match up and began with singles play. Texas took three of the singles matches in straight sets. Caroline Pozo was the lone Wildcat to take a set on the day. She fell at the No. 4 singles position, 5-7, 6-1, 4-6 to Texas' Fernanda Labrana.
The Wildcats will take on the loser of the Stanford and LSU match on Saturday, Feb. 9. Start time and location is TBD.
