EVANSTON, Ill. — The third-annual Northwestern Baseball Benefit is scheduled for Saturday, January 19, 2019, in the Wilson Club of the new Welsh-Ryan Arena.
The night is headlined by Baseball Hall of Famer Jim Thome, who played 22 seasons in the MLB, including four seasons in the South Side playing for the Chicago White Sox. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear Thome's stories from his illustrious career and participate in a Q&A session.
Conversation with the five-time All-Star will be led by Northwestern alumnus Glenn Geffner, currently the radio play-by-play announcer for the Miami Marlins.
In addition to the main event, guests will have the chance to meet and interact with the Northwestern baseball team.
Cost for the event is $175 per person and you can register here. There is a reception from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by the program from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
