EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern volleyball fell to Big Ten opponent No. 4 Illinois, 3-0, on Wednesday night at the new Welsh-Ryan Arena.
The Wildcats hit the court again on Saturday when they travel to University Park for another Big Ten rematch. They will face No. 7 Penn State at 6 p.m. CT.

- Northwestern compiled 18 kills, 18 digs, and 4.0 total blocks.
- The 'Cats totaled two service aces, going their tenth straight game with multiple service aces
INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
- Abryanna Cannon led the team with 6 kills.
- Britt Bommer contributed a team-high 15 assists.
- Lexi Pitsas, Bommer and Cannon each tied for a team-high four digs for the 'Cats.
- With her second kill of the game, first-year Ella Grbac tallied her 200th kill of the season.
- Michelle Lee recorded her 22nd service ace of the season, leading the team ... Olivia Viscuso also contributed one ace.
MATCH NOTES:
- S1 | The 'Cats kept pace with the Illini for a 12 point back-and-forth, before Illinois pulled ahead to take the set 25-16.
- S2 | Northwestern struggled to gain traction, dropping the second set 25-11.
- S3 | Illinois closed out the match with a 25-14 win.
