STANFORD, Calif. — First year Kelly Sim posted her first sub-70 score as a Wildcat to highlight Northwestern's final day at the Stanford Intercollegiate.
Sim made four birdies and an eagle to counter four bogeys in carding a season-low 2-under 69. The Wildcats finished round three with a 2-over to finish third in the loaded 17-team field with a 54-hole score of 1-over.
The 17th-ranked USC Lady Trojans won the event at 15-under, while the host Cardinal finished second just one stroke ahead of the 'Cats.
Junior Brooke Riley and senior Stephanie Lau were the top individuals for Chicago's Big Ten Team, finishing the tournament even par to finish tied for 11th. Senior Janet Mao finished tied for 13th at 1-over after posting a 1-over 72 in round three and senior Monica Matsubara finished the weekend tied for 36th at 3-over.
