EVANSTON, Ill. — The Northwestern Wildcats led from start-to-finish on Friday night, notching a 3-0 sweep over Michigan State at historic Beardsley Gym.

- Tonight's win marks the 300th career victory for head coach Shane Davis between both Loyola (Chicago) and Northwestern.
- Northwestern outhit the Spartans .204 to .032 and finished with 40 kills to Michigan State's 28.
- Northwestern had 13.0 total blocks on the night, the most by the team in a three-set match this season.
- The 'Cats hit for a .278 clip in the first set, their third-highest clip in a single-set during Big Ten play.
- The Wildcats' first win over Michigan State since a 3-1 victory on October 31, 2015.

- First-year Hanna Lesiak finished the night with a career-high three service aces, including back-to-back aces in the second set to cap off an 8-2 run for the Wildcats to take an 18-13 advantage … Also tied her career high with two assists.
- First-year Ella Grbac recorded a career-high five blocks and totaled nine kills, her most in a match since September 22 at Purdue (15).
- Sophomore Nia Robinson finished with a match-high 12 kills while hitting for a .333 clip, marking her highest hitting percentage in conference play in this season … Has posted double digit kills in 16 of her 18 matches.
- Sophomore Britt Bommer had 33 assists, her most in a three-set match since recording 35 in the Wildcats' sweep over UIC on September 14 … Also recorded a career-high four blocks.
- First-year Abryanna Cannon had nine kills along with a .333 hitting percentage, her highest clip in conference play this season.
MATCH NOTES:
- S1 | Northwestern hit for a .278 clip and was helped by four kills apiece from Grbac, Cannon and Robinson en route to a 25-21 win.
- S2 | The 'Cats closed the out the set with three-straight points to take the set, 25-19. Robinson led all players with four kills in the set, while Bommer finished with 12 assists.
- S3 | A 6-0 run midway through the set gave the Wildcats an 18-14 advantage as the Cats rolled to a 25-20 victory. Robinson and sophomore Alana Walker led all players with four kills in the set.
