EVANSTON, Ill. — Sophomore kicker Drew Luckenbaugh earned Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honors and senior wide receiver Flynn Nagel earned Co-Offensive Player of the Week nods after a memorable, 34-31 overtime thriller against Nebraska on Saturday.
Luckenbaugh kicked his first two career field goals against the Cornhuskers, including the 37-yard game-winner in overtime. He also went 4-for-4 on extra points in the game.
Nagel had 12 receptions for 220 yards, both career highs. It marked the most receiving yards by a Big Ten player since 2013 and the most by a Wildcat since 1980. This is Nagel's first Offensive Player of the Week award, and Luckenbaugh's first Special Teams Player of the Week nod.
The Wildcats play Rutgers in Piscataway, New Jersey, on Saturday, October 20, at 11 a.m. on BTN.
