MINNEAPOLIS — Northwestern volleyball was topped by Minnesota on Saturday night at the Maturi Pavilion.
The Wildcats return home to battle Michigan State and Michigan on Oct. 19 and Oct. 20 at historic Beardsley Gym.

- Northwestern led Minnesota in service aces, four to one.
- The Wildcats amassed 34 kills, 34 assists, and 49 digs.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
- Alana Walker paced Northwestern with a double-digit kill effort … She ended with 10 kills on 20 swings with only one error, a .450 clip.
- Nia Robinson had nine kills and an ace.
- Britt Bommer notched a double-double, finishing with 28 assists and 12 digs.
- Michelle Lee led NU's effort with 15 digs … She also added four assists and two digs.
MATCH NOTES:
- S1 | Alana Walker led with four kills, but NU dropped the set, 25-12.
- S2 | The Wildcats scrapped and battled in a neck-and-neck match with the Gophers, but fell, 25-22 … NU had a pair of service aces, compared to zero from Minnesota.'
- S3 | Northwestern again made the final set competitive but dropped it, 25-19.
