The loss drops the Wildcats to 4-5-2 on the campaign, while Notre Dame improved to 6-3-1 on the season. The contest against the 15th-ranked Fighting Irish was Northwestern's third consecutive game against a ranked opponent.
Sophomore Spencer Howard earned his first collegiate start of his career and tallied all three of Northwestern's shots.
