The Wildcats moved to 4-2 on the season and 2-1 at Martin Stadium. NU also improved to 15-1 all-time against the Redhawks, including a perfect 7-0 mark under head coach Tracey Fuchs

Junior Annie Kalfas started in net and earned her third win of the season while making five saves.

Junior Kirsten Mansfield picked up her team-leading sixth assist of the season on another penalty corner, while sophomore Christen Conley logged her second. Barry was credited with an assist as well to go along with her goal.

Northwestern started the match brightly and dominated the possession against the Redhawks. First year Maren Seidel had a great chance after rounding the keeper but her shot was illegally blocked in the 21st minute. On the ensuing penalty stroke, Mackenzie Keegan slotted it into the left corner for her first goal of the 2018 to make it 1-0.

The 'Cats came roaring out of halftime just as they did on Tuesday, with two goals in the first five minutes of the second period. The first was a penalty corner that the 'Cats scored, as Pentenga finished the perfect set up from Mansfield and Conley to make it 2-0.

The second goal of the half was a solo effort by Barry. The sophomore pressed high up the field and pounced on a pass to the Redhawks' deepest defender in her own penalty circle. Barry snatched the ball and then fired home past a helpless keeper for her second goal of the season to make it 3-0.

Miami responded with a solo effort of its own to make it 3-1, but the 'Cats stretched the lead once more. Barry received a restart from the sideline and turned inside the circle to shoot towards the far post. Van Agt latched onto the hit and redirected it into the back of the net for her first goal of the season, making it 4-1.

Chicago's Big Ten Team is back in action on Sunday, when it hosts No. 24 Boston University at Lakeside Field at noon. The match will be streamed again on BTN+.
