Lumsden's Solid Play Paces ’Cats in Day One of Windon Memorial

LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Ryan Lumsden's six-under performance highlighted Northwestern's day one at the 22nd Windon Memorial Classic at the Knollwood Club.

Lumsden, who is tied for second-place and one stroke behind the leader, carded a five-under 67 in the opening round of the season. He made 10 birdies, one shy of the tournament leader.
 
In his first-ever collegiate experience, David Nyfjäll is tied for 22nd at 1-over. He went 72-73 to open up the Windon.
 
In all, three 'Cats finished the first day in the top-30. Junior Everton Hawkins is tied for 27th with a 2-over 146.
 
Eric McIntosh (T72) and Lucas Becht (89) round out the Wildcat starting lineup. Three NU golfers are competing as individuals: Yannick Artigolle (T63), Harrison Murphy (T63), and Pete Griffith (T74).
 
Northwestern is in sixth place with one round to go after a six-over day.
