BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Northwestern volleyball (10-3, 0-1 Big Ten) were felled in the first Big Ten match of the season against Indiana (10-2, 1-0 Big Ten) at University Hall.
The 'Cats will wrap up their two-match weekend with a contest against No. 16 Purdue on Saturday night at 6 p.m. CT in West Lafayette, Indiana.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
- Olivia Viscuso posted six blocks, the most for any competitor in the contest on either team.
- Ella Grbac registered a team-high 14 kills, only two shy of her career-high (16 vs. Stephen F. Austin).
- Two Wildcats had double-digit digs … Michelle Lee led with a 13-dig effort, while Hanna Lesiak had 10 saves.
- Kiara McNulty led the Wildcat offense with 19 assists, while Britt Bommer had 16 helpers.
MATCH NOTES:
- S1 | Alana Walker led the Wildcats with four kills on seven attacks, but Indiana took the first set in a back-and-forth affair, 25-18.
- S2 | Northwestern turned on the jets late, winning eight of the last nine points to down Indiana, 25-23, to even up the contest.
- S3 | The Wildcats hit at a respectable .258 clip, but were downed by the Hoosiers, 25-18.
- S4 | Despite four ties and one lead change, Indiana outlasted Northwestern and topped the Wildcats, 25-18.
