2018-19 Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. — The full, 18-game Big Ten women's basketball schedule was released on Tuesday.
 
For Northwestern, the 2018-19 slate includes a Big Ten home opener against Illinois on December 31. All home games will be played at the new Welsh-Ryan Arena, which is currently undergoing $110 million in renovations to deliver a world-class experience for fans and student-athletes.
 
The Wildcats' nonconference slate was announced earlier in the month. The 'Cats will host Duke on November 11 for the Welsh-Ryan Arena opener. Ticket information will be released at a later date.

OF NOTE:

• Chicago's Big Ten Team will open the Big Ten slate on the road, traveling to battle Rutgers (Dec. 28). The 'Cats have won their last three matchups against the Scarlet Knights, including a 63-50 win on Feb. 25, 2018.
• Northwestern will play Illinois twice this season (Dec. 31 and Jan. 27). NU is riding a seven-game winning streak against the Fighting Illini.
• This marks the second-straight season that the 'Cats have played Illinois on New Year's Eve … NU topped its in-state rival, 74-59, in Champaign, last year.
• The 'Cats will play Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Purdue in home-and-home matchups.
• Northwestern welcomes Michigan State, Penn State, Ohio State, and Wisconsin for home-only matchups … NU will visit Maryland, Michigan, Iowa, and Rutgers for away-only matchups.
