EVANSTON, Ill. — Rising senior Ryan Lumsden will be competing in the European Tour's Nordea Masters in Gothenburg, Sweden, starting Thursday.

For Lumsden, who is competing as an amateur, this will be his second entry in a professional tournament this summer. He also played in the 2018 U.S. Open in Shinnecock Hills.
The London, England, native seeks to become the third Wildcat golfer to win the event, joining Matt Fitzpatrick (2016) and Luke Donald (2004).
Lumsden will tee off the first round of his European Tour debut at 1:30 a.m. CT (8:30 a.m. Sweden time) and will be paired with Anders Hansen and Christofer Blomstrand.
The 72-hole event will be played at the par-70, 6,931-yard Hills Course. It will be broadcast on Thursday and Friday from 4-6 a.m. and then on Saturday and Sunday from 6-10 a.m. on the Golf Channel.
In his junior campaign, Lumsden was a First Team All-Big Ten Honoree, helping lead the Wildcats to a top-16 finish at the NCAA Championships. He currently owns the third-best career scoring average in Northwestern program history.
