EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has earned recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for its accomplishments in the classroom during the 2017-18 season.
As a team, the Wildcats were bestowed the Team Academic Excellence Award for having a cumulative grade point average above 3.0 for the 2017-18 academic year. This is the third straight year Northwestern has earned the Team Academic Excellence Award.
NU was one of only two schools from the Big Ten Conference to earn the honor, joining Ohio State.
Additionally, juniors Charlie Hall and Aaron Falzon were recognized as members of the NABC Honors Court. In order to be named to the Honors Court, an individual must be academically a junior or senior, possess a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 at the conclusion of the 2017-18 academic year, and have matriculated for at least one year at their current institution.
