Falzon, Malta Win 2018 FIBA Small Countries Title

SERRAVALLE — Aaron Falzon and Malta claimed the FIBA European Championship for Small Countries title on Sunday, July 1, with a 75-59 win over Norway in the championship game.

Falzon wrapped up the tournament averaging 16.3 points per game, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in Malta's four games. Falzon's 16.3 points per game ranked third among all players in the tournament and earned him All-Star Five honors.
 
The Northwestern forward scored in double figures in all four games, including a 22-point and nine-rebound performance against Ireland in the group stage.
 
This is Malta's first-ever FIBA Small Countries title.
