EVANSTON, Ill. — Nine Northwestern wrestlers are set to compete this weekend at the U23 World Team Trials in Akron, Ohio.

Yahya Thomas – 65kg
Jack Tolin – 65kg
Ryan Deakin – 70kg
Shayne Oster – 70kg
Eric Yang – 70kg
Tyler Morland – 79kg
Conan Jennings – 125kg
 
The Wildcat field is highlighted by four starters from the 2017-18 squad and two NCAA qualifiers in Deakin and Jennings.
 
Wrestling begins at 8:30 a.m. CT on Saturday, June 2 and continues through quarterfinals at 3 p.m. CT. Semifinals, medal matches, and the best-of-three finals begin Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
 
The advancer from the best-of-three finals will make the U23 World Team, which will compete this fall, November 12-18, in Bucharest, Romania, at the 2018 U23 World Championships.
