EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern associate athletic trainer Christina Nistler has been named the Head Athletic Trainer for the United States Women's Lacrosse U19 team.
Nistler will join Combe Family Head Lacrosse Coach Kelly Amonter Hiller, who was named the head coach of the U.S. Women's U19 team on in February.
Nistler will be on the staff for the second time after previously serving as a trainer for the 2015 U.S. Women's U19 Team. Nistler previously worked with the women's lacrosse program at Georgetown University.
She has been a member of the Northwestern University Sports Medicine Department since August of 2016. Nistler is responsible for managing the health care of the women's cross country and track team and oversees care for the spirit squad. Cristina is also shares the responsibility of managing the sports medicine portion of NUSports.com. She worked as a Certified Intern Athletic Trainer at Northwestern University during the 2009-10 academic year with the football and baseball teams
Nistler earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training and a master's degree in exercise science from St. Cloud State University.
