TIMONIUM, Md. — Led by another under-par round by senior Dylan Wu, Northwestern shot a 3-over 283 in the second round of the Big Ten Championships on Saturday.

The Wildcats started slow, with sophomore Everton Hawkins the only golfer to shoot under-par on the front nine. After the turn, Chicago's Big Ten Team started to heat up, with two 'Cats carding par or better on the back nine, including a bogey-free nine holes from Wu.
Wu highlighted day two for the Wildcats, shooting a 2-under 68 and improving to 3-under on the contest, and moving into a tie for third place overall. He trails the leader Cole Miller (Penn State) by four strokes.
Hawkins improved six strokes from Friday, carding an even 70.
Junior Ryan Lumsden carded a 1-over 71 for the second time in two days, and june Pete Griffith matched his Friday score of 6-over 76.
Northwestern was faced with a much improved field of play on Saturday, with five of the 14 teams carding under-par scores, causing the Wildcats to fall back one spot to number five overall.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will tee of the first hole starting at 7 a.m. CT on Sunday: Pete Griffith (7 a.m. CT), Everton Hawkins (7:09), Sam Triplett (7:18), Ryan Lumsden (7:27), and Dylan Wu (7:36). The Wildcats will be paired with Michigan and Penn State.
