EVANSTON, Ill. – Junior attack Selena Lasota has been named a Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week following two stellar performances against Ohio State and No. 21 Notre Dame.
Lasota's four goals and one assist helped lead the Wildcats to a 20-6 blowout win over Ohio State on Friday afternoon at Martin Stadium. Her five points brought her career point tally to 200, becoming only the eleventh NU player to do so since 2002.
Following her impressive performance against the Buckeyes, Lasota continued to dominate Sunday against No. 21 Notre Dame. Lasota's five goals and two assists equaled a season-high seven points, which led the team to a commanding 20-10 victory, and Northwestern's sixth-straight win.
The Wildcats have climbed to No. 7 in the IWLCA poll, and will look to stay hot as they head to Penn State next Saturday, April 14.
