NAPA, Calif. – Senior Sarah Cho leads a trio of Wildcats who will tee off Tuesday's final round of the Silverado Showdown (Par-72; 6,202 yards) inside the Top-20. The senior is tied for 11th at 1-over, with teammates Hannah Kim and Stephanie Lau just one stroke behind.
Cho was at her best over a torrid five-hole stretch on the front nine that featured four birdies. The San Diego native birdied Nos. 3, 4, 6 and 7, and then wrapped up her round with another birdie on No. 18 to sign an even-par scorecard.
Lau posted the best round of the day thanks to a stunning finish. The junior bogeyed No. 4 but birdied No. 9, then carded eight straight pars to head to the 18th tee at even-par. She then eagled the 503-yard, Par-5 final hole to finish the day at 2-under, one of only 17 student-athletes in the 90-person field to post a score under par in round two. She will enter Tuesday's third-and-final round tied for 17th with Kim, the defending champion in this event.
