EVANSTON, Ill. -- No. 9 Northwestern begins the home stretch of its dual match regular season this weekend, traveling to Maryland Friday before hosting Rutgers Sunday. Friday's match gets underway at 11 a.m. Central time while Sunday's match also is slated for an 11 a.m. start.

Friday's match begins a stretch during which Northwestern plays its final eight dual matches against Big Ten foes.

The Wildcats (11-4, 4-0 B1G) saw their eight-match winning streak come to an end in a close 5-2 loss at No. 26 Baylor on Tuesday. NU got the double point and also got a straight-sets win at No. 1 singles from Erin Larner.

Northwestern enters play this weekend as one of two remaining undefeated teams in conference play (Michigan, 3-0).

Maryland is 7-7 overall and 1-2 in league action entering Friday's match. The Terrapins are coming off a 7-0 win over Rutgers last Sunday after previously falling to Minnesota and Wisconsin in Big Ten play.

Rutgers takes 5-7 overall mark and an 0-3 record against conference foes into Friday's match at Illinois. The Scarlet Knights have not recorded a point in any of their first three matches against Big Ten opponents.

Northwestern has won all three previous meetings with both Maryland and Rutgers.
