COLUMBUS, Ohio — For the fourth time in her career and first time in the 1-meter springboard, Northwestern junior Olivia Rosendahl is an All-American.
Rosendahl, who became the first Northwestern diver to earn a national championship last season in the platform, started her 2018 NCAA Championships with an eighth-place finish in the 1-meter competition Thursday evening. The Los Angeles, California, native scored a 295.50 in the finals to earn 11 team points for the Wildcats.
NU is currently in 25th place with Rosendahl's 11 points.
First-year standout Calypso Sheridan made her NCAA Championships debut Thursday morning in the 200 individual medley. The Brisbane, Australia, native finished eight spots above her seed with a 1:58.74. She will also compete in the 400 IM and 200 breaststroke later this week.
The NCAA Championships will continue in Columbus on Friday morning. Sheridan will open the morning heat three of six prelims in the 400 IM and Rosendahl will begin prelims in the 3-meter competition at approximately 10:30. Links to watch the competition are available at the top of the page.
