EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern, the No. 12 seed in the 2018 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament, matches up with No. 13-seed Wisconsin in the first round Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. CT inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The Wildcats enter the postseason winners of two of their last three, including a 63-50 victory over Rutgers in the regular season finale. First-year guard Lindsey Pulliam scored 23 points in that contest, while junior forward Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah grabbed 20 rebounds and became Northwestern's single-season record holder in that category.
Northwestern has won eight of the last nine over Wisconsin dating back to 2013. These two squads last met in the Big Ten Tournament two years ago, a 64-60 first round win for the Wildcats.
Chicago's Big Ten Team also entered that 2016 conference tournament as the No. 12 seed and advanced all the way to the semifinals.
The winner of Wednesday's contest will play No. 5 Iowa Thursday at 1:30 p.m. CT.
