PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. — Both Hannah Kim and Janet Mao logged top-25 finishes at the rigorous NorthropGrumman Regional Challenge, which wrapped up on Tuesday at the par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club.
Kim and Mao both posted 4-over performances in the third round to finish 9-over overall.
No. 12 Northwestern finished in 12th place in the spring season-opening event.
Sarah Cho (+13, T41), Stephanie Lau (+24, T78), and Brooke Riley (+29, T84) round out the Wildcats' lineup. Monica Matsubara finished with a +22 total as an individual entry.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will have some down-time before its next event. NU will participate in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, on March 2-4 to continue its slate.
